Collagen Dosage and Timing: What Studies Used
Trials of collagen peptides for skin used roughly 2.5 to 15 grams a day for 8 to 12 weeks or longer, and no best time of day is proven. A gummy rarely holds that much. Gelagen lists no collagen, so none of these doses apply to it, but they show why a vitamin gummy and a collagen powder are different things.

What doses were studied?
Reviews of skin trials describe daily doses from about 2.5 grams up to 15 grams of hydrolyzed collagen, usually as a powder in a drink, taken for two to three months (Cleveland Clinic, Collagen supplements). Results differ between trials, and larger doses were not clearly better.
Is there a best time?
No source we read shows one. Some people take it with breakfast, others at night. A habit you can keep is more useful than a clock time. If it upsets your stomach on an empty stomach, take it with food.
Why does the form matter?
A gummy has limited room, so it may carry a gram or less, if it carries collagen at all. A powder can deliver the amounts used in studies. If a gummy label does not give the grams, you cannot compare it with a trial.

See packsHow do you apply this to Gelagen?
You cannot. Its 13 listed names do not include collagen. If you want a collagen trial dose, you would need a product that lists it. The gummy form page explains what Gelagen's list does show, and the how to use page gives its direction of two gummies a day.
