Quick answer

Gelagen's ingredients list names 13 items: vitamins A, C, D, E, B6 and B12, folate, biotin, pantothenic acid, choline, iodine, zinc and inositol. Biotin is the largest at 5,000 mcg. The list names no collagen and no gelatin, and the other ingredients in the gummy base are not given. Tap any name below to open its own page.

The full list01

What are the ingredients in Gelagen?

Gelagen lists 13 named ingredients: vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12, biotin, pantothenic acid, choline, iodine, zinc and inositol.

Every name comes with an amount and a form in the brand's product sheet, for example vitamin A as retinyl acetate at 630 mcg and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin at 6 mcg. We were not given a photo of the label or a Supplement Facts panel, so this list is the only one we have. Confirm each line against the jar you receive.

The grid is grouped by what the nutrient is, not by how much it weighs. Biotin has its own color because it is the outlier. Units differ across the list, with milligrams beside micrograms, so we convert everything to percent of the Daily Value on the label math page.

What is not listed02

Does Gelagen contain collagen, gelatin or sugar?

The product sheet names no collagen and no gelatin, and it does not list the other ingredients, so we cannot say what the gummy base is made of or how much sugar it holds.

That matters because search results often group skin gummies with collagen products. Collagen is a protein, and a collagen supplement would list it by name with a gram amount. Nothing on Gelagen's list is a protein. Cleveland Clinic says there is no evidence-based science showing collagen supplements work for skin, and that the studies that exist are often sponsored by manufacturers (Cleveland Clinic, Collagen supplements). Our collagen page explains the difference.

A gummy needs something to set it and something to sweeten it. Those are the "other ingredients" on a real label. They are missing here, so look for them on the jar: sweeteners, gelling agent, flavors, colors and any allergen statement. If you have an allergy, a diet restriction or diabetes, that line is the one that matters most.

Reading the order03

Why does the order of the list matter?

On a Supplement Facts panel, the order of a vitamin list is not a ranking by weight, because each vitamin uses a different unit, so the order tells you very little.

The product sheet lists the vitamins roughly the way many multivitamins do: fat-soluble vitamins first, then B vitamins, then minerals and other compounds. Units run from milligrams to micrograms, and a microgram is a thousand times smaller than a milligram, which is why Gelagen's biotin (5,000 mcg, or 5 mg) can look large next to vitamin C (20 mg) only after you convert it. Percent of the Daily Value puts them on one scale.

The jar's front panel adds the three icon captions "Youthful Glow", "Deep Hydration" and "Smooth Appearance". None of the 13 names is a hydrating agent in the sense a moisturizer is, and none is an ingredient the product sheet ties to those captions.

Five groups04

How are the 13 ingredients grouped?

We sort the 13 names into five groups, and each group has its own page: biotin alone, the fat-soluble vitamins with vitamin C, the B vitamins and folate, the minerals, and the two small compounds.

Four of the thirteen sit above 100% of the Daily Value if the amounts are per two gummies: biotin, vitamin B12, vitamin B6 and folate. Pantothenic acid is just at 104%. None of those, apart from biotin, comes near an upper limit, but the safety checklist explains why you should still add up everything you take.

Keep taking your medicine

Do not stop a prescribed medicine because of a supplement. Vitamin A matters in pregnancy and iodine matters with thyroid medicine, so ask a pharmacist before you start. Call 911 for swelling of the face or throat or trouble breathing.

FAQ05

Gelagen questions people ask

What are the active ingredients in Gelagen?

Gelagen lists 13 vitamins, minerals and compounds, from vitamin A to inositol. Because a supplement has no single active drug, all 13 are simply the nutrients named on the product sheet, led by 5,000 mcg of biotin. The gummy base ingredients are not listed.

Is Gelagen vegan or gluten-free?

We cannot say. The product sheet gives no list of other ingredients and no allergen statement, so we do not know the gelling agent or whether the gummy is vegan or gluten-free. Read the jar or call the order desk on the number in the footer before you rely on it.

Does Gelagen have artificial colors or sweeteners?

Unknown from the product sheet. Gummies almost always contain a sweetener and a flavor, but which ones are not stated. If you avoid a specific sweetener or dye, check the printed label on the jar you receive, and ask the order desk if the label is unclear.

What form of folate is in Gelagen?

The product sheet lists folate at 442 mcg DFE and does not say whether it is folic acid or another form. DFE means dietary folate equivalents, where folic acid counts 1.7 times as much as food folate (NIH ODS, Folate).

Are the Gelagen amounts per gummy or per serving?

That is not printed. The product sheet gives amounts and a dose of two gummies a day, but no serving size or per-serving basis. This site shows every number two ways, as a per-two-gummies reading and a per-gummy reading, so you can see both.

Is inositol the same as vitamin B8?

Inositol is often called vitamin B8, but it is a sugar the body makes, so it is not a true vitamin. Gelagen lists 40 mcg, a tiny amount next to the roughly 1 gram a day a typical diet supplies (Cleveland Clinic, Inositol).
