Gelagen Quality and Testing: What the Seals Mean and What They Do Not
Gelagen's sales material shows three seller badges: FDA registered facility, GMP and a foreign and domestic ingredients seal. None of them proves a lab test of the gummies, and FDA does not approve supplements. No lab report is published, and the maker is not named in what we received. A lot code and a certificate-of-analysis code exist as references only.

The maker01
Who makes Gelagen?
We do not know: the product sheet we were given names neither a maker nor a distributor, and this site is the information site of a "USA Authorized Gelagen Retailer", not the manufacturer.
That is worth saying plainly because search results ask "who makes Gelagen". A supplement label normally names the company that distributes it, with an address, and that is required in the United States. We have not seen the printed label, so we cannot read that line. The jar you receive will show it. If it names a company, look the company up. If it names none, ask the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 before you buy more than one jar.
The seller's New York office and returns addresses are on the contact page. They are where the seller works from. They are not proof of where the gummies are made.
Three quick checks help when a maker is unnamed. Search the company name printed on the jar together with the word recall. Look for a street address, not only a web address. And see whether the company answers a plain question by phone or email, such as which facility fills the jars. A company that sells a supplement should be able to answer that in a sentence.
The badges02
What do the Gelagen seals mean?
They are seller badges. Each says something narrow, and none says that a lab tested the gummies or that FDA gave them any approval.

A seller badge. Registration is not approval, and the product sheet does not name the facility.

A seller badge with 'USA' in the center. The product sheet does not say where the gummies are made or where each ingredient comes from.

Matches the 60-day guarantee in the product sheet. Return shipping is on the buyer.

A seller badge; no certifier is named. Supplement makers must follow good manufacturing practice rules by law.
Each badge comes from the seller's own image set. A badge is a claim by the seller, not a certificate: none names a certifier, lab or audit. FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold (FDA 101, Dietary supplements), and health claims in ads need real evidence (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance).
FDA registration means a facility told the agency it exists. It is not an inspection result and not an approval. FDA says it does not approve dietary supplements before they are sold and generally does not test them before they reach consumers (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements). A good manufacturing practice badge says the maker claims to follow GMP rules, which FDA requires of supplement makers (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements). And a seal that shows "USA" with a foreign and domestic ingredients caption tells you some ingredients are sourced from abroad. It is not a statement of where Gelagen is made.
Lab proof03
Has Gelagen been lab tested?
We cannot say, because no lab report is published and none was supplied to us.
A real test would be a certificate of analysis from a named, independent lab, tied to a lot, showing what was measured: the vitamin amounts, heavy metals and microbes. The seller reference "G-2160-26-TH" is the name of a certificate, not the certificate. Without the paper itself, it is a code. We would publish a report here if the brand shares one, and we say so on the editorial standards page.
| Evidence | What it shows | Do we have it? |
|---|---|---|
| Certificate of analysis from a named lab | Amounts and contaminants for a lot | No, a code only |
| FDA registered facility badge | The site is on FDA's list | A badge only |
| GMP badge | The maker claims GMP compliance | A badge only |
| Third-party certification mark | A named group tested the product | No |
| Printed lot and best-before date | Traceability on the jar | Check your jar |

What do the lot and certificate codes mean?
The product sheet gives the lot as G-26/TH-2160 and the certificate code as G-2160-26-TH, which are seller references you can match against your jar, not lab results.
A lot code lets a company trace a jar back to a production run, which matters if there is ever a recall or a complaint. Check the base of your jar for a printed lot and a best-before date, and compare it with what the seller says on the batch verify page. A match tells you the jar belongs to the batch the seller describes. It does not tell you what is inside.
If anything looks wrong, such as a broken seal, an odd smell, melted or stuck gummies, or a label that does not match the photos, do not use the jar. Call the order desk and keep the jar.
If something goes wrong05
How do you report a problem with a supplement?
Report it to FDA through MedWatch, the agency's program for adverse events and product problems, and call a doctor first if you feel unwell (FDA, MedWatch).
FDA takes consumer reports through an online "Report a Problem" form, and its general number is 1-888-INFO-FDA. Keep the jar, the lot code and your order email. Our own order desk handles refunds, and the refund policy page explains the steps.
Do not stop a prescribed medicine because of a supplement problem. Call 911 for swelling of the face or throat or trouble breathing.
FAQ06
Gelagen questions people ask
Is Gelagen made in a GMP certified facility?
The sales material shows a GMP badge, but we have no certificate and no facility name, so we cannot confirm it. FDA requires supplement makers to follow good manufacturing practices in any case, and a badge does not say who checked.
Is Gelagen made in the USA?
We cannot say. The product sheet gives no country of origin. A seal in the sales material shows the letters USA with a foreign and domestic ingredients caption, which is not a made-in claim. Read the jar for a Made in line.
Is Gelagen third-party tested?
No third-party test or certification mark appears in what we received. If your jar carries a named certification, trust the jar and check the certifier's own website for the product.
Does FDA inspect Gelagen?
We do not know. FDA regulates supplements after they are on the market and does not approve them in advance (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements). A facility registration, which the sales material shows, is not an inspection.
Is Gelagen reviewed by Consumer Reports?
We found no Consumer Reports review of Gelagen and we do not say one exists. Customer opinions on shopping sites are different from a lab-based review, and the FTC rule on fake reviews is why we show none until they are verified (FTC, Fake Reviews Final Rule (2024)).
What does FDA registered mean for a supplement facility?
It means the company listed its facility with FDA, which food and supplement makers must do. It does not mean FDA approved the facility, inspected it recently or tested any product made there.
