Gelagen in Pregnancy or While Nursing: Ask First
Gelagen lists 630 mcg of vitamin A as retinyl acetate and 5,000 mcg of biotin. Vitamin A from supplements has a limit in pregnancy, and no study covers these gummies in pregnancy or nursing. Show the label to your obstetrician or midwife before you take it.

Why does vitamin A matter?
Too much preformed vitamin A during pregnancy has been linked to birth defects, so NIH sets the upper limit for adults at 3,000 mcg of retinol a day (NIH ODS, Vitamin A). Gelagen's 630 mcg is under that, but other products add up, so total it.
What about biotin?
We found no source on 5,000 mcg of biotin in pregnancy. Biotin needs rise slightly in pregnancy and nursing, but that is a few micrograms, not thousands. The question is for your clinician. Biotin also affects some tests, which may be ordered during prenatal care.
What is not known?
No study of Gelagen in pregnant or nursing women is linked here, and the product sheet gives no pregnancy statement. A gap like that should be read as unknown, not as safe or unsafe.

FAQ01
Gelagen questions people ask
Can I take Gelagen while breastfeeding?
Ask your clinician. No source we found covers it, and the biotin dose is high.
Is vitamin A in Gelagen safe in pregnancy?
630 mcg is under the NIH limit, but totals across products matter, and a clinician should review them.
Can I take Gelagen when trying to conceive?
Ask your clinician, who may prefer a prenatal product designed for the purpose.
Is a prenatal vitamin a better choice?
Often it is, because prenatal products are designed around pregnancy limits. Ask your clinician which one suits you.
