Is Gelagen FDA Approved? What Registered Really Means
No. FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are sold, so Gelagen is not FDA approved, and neither is any other gummy. A seal that says FDA registered refers to a facility listing, not to a review of the product. Treat it as a paperwork fact, not a quality grade.

Does FDA approve supplements?
No. Drugs are approved before sale. Supplements are not. The law makes the maker responsible for safety and truthful labels, and FDA acts after a product is on sale if it is unsafe or mislabeled (FDA, Dietary Supplements). That is why every supplement label carries a line saying FDA has not evaluated its claims.
What does a seal that says FDA registered mean?
Food and supplement facilities register with FDA so the agency knows who they are (FDA 101, Dietary supplements). Registration is a form, and the agency does not inspect a plant because it registered. A round seal can accurately say the facility is listed, and still say nothing about the gummies inside.
What is on the Gelagen pages?
The seals are shown as supplied, with captions that say what they are: a registration, a manufacturing-practice mark and a guarantee. We do not describe any of them as approval. The testing and quality page says what a certificate of analysis would add.

See packsHow can you check a claim yourself?
Ask for the facility's name and registration number, ask whether a third party tested the lot, and look for a lot code on the jar. A brand that is proud of its quality will give you these without a fuss. A brand that dodges is telling you something too.

FAQ01
Gelagen questions people ask
Is Gelagen FDA registered?
A seal on the product images says so. We have not confirmed the registration, and registration is not approval, so treat it as a claim to check.
Is approved the same as cleared?
No. Both words apply to drugs and devices. Neither applies to a dietary supplement, so a gummy using either word is using it loosely.
Who checks supplement claims then?
FDA reviews safety and labeling after sale and the FTC reviews advertising. Both act on complaints, which is why reporting a problem matters.
