A retailer's own stock comes from its supply chain and its return policy applies. A marketplace listing may be fulfilled by a third party, with different rules. Check who sells and who ships before you buy, and read recent reviews of the seller.
What should you check?
The seal, the lot and date, the label and the price. The FDA advises care with supplements from unknown sellers (FDA 101, Dietary supplements). Compare the label with the brand's own site, and look for typos or odd packaging.
What about returns?
